Rule 226
Detailed discussion on treaty provisions including amendments

(1) When considering the provisions of the treaty with amendments, reservations will generally be made in the order of the provisions and the member called by the Speaker or the member authorized by him may present the amendment.
(2) Regarding each reservation that has been accepted through the discussion and the provisions that have been clarified, the Speaker will submit a proposal for decision that "this should become part of the treaty". But in order to save time, in order to eliminate duplication in the discussion, it may be allowed to discuss the same provision or the interdependent amendment received under it, and during the discussion on the provision, any part or provision of the treaty can be put in the discussion before and after, or any part or provision can be postponed so that it can be considered later. Explanation:- For the purpose of this rule and rule 222, in the case of regular discussions on the treaty in the relevant committee, "Speaker" means the chairman of the relevant committee and "meeting" also refers to the meeting of the same committee.
